We haven't talked much about the 'real' reason why Cooper pairs don't interact with the lattice but this article does a pretty good job. See the four paragraphs after the BCS diagram for a good explanation.

More advice "Just work"
"Isn't it nice when things just work" - well yes, but getting things to work requires lots of 'just work'
While the end result of the commercial is impressive the hidden heroes of the commercial are
planning your term and study, making sure all of your work is precise (the best it can be) and the perseverance to overcome mistakes, difficulties and setbacks.
So you want more HSC advice?: 'Just Work'

You want advice?
All my many years of thinking about how to best-prepare for the HSC has been condensed and crystallised into the (awesome) diagram below. So before you ask about how you are going, or before you next submit a draft, homework task, experiment report or study notes, take time to ponder the mysteries of ‘NEIGH’.

The Bomb
No I'm not talking about this blog (haha, but that does remind me of the joke about the two drums and the cymbal that rolled down the hill) - but the Manhattan Project.
Physicists should take the time to read the following Wikipedia sites (and despite what you might have been told: Wikipedia is awesome!):
But this is also awesome Operation Gunnerside - the German nuclear threat was real and taken very seriously. Apart from that there were lots of amazing commando raids in WWII related to capturing or studying German technology, or destroying critical resources - the Green Beach raid is another.
